Dictionary.com says a graphic designer is one who uses the art of visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information to an audience.

With the growth of a DIY (do it yourself) culture as well as tools and platforms like; Snapchat, Instagram, Pablo, Canva and much more with their built-in editing features and filters, the bar for high-quality visuals continue to be a digital marketing trend.

The main advantage of good visuals

Research has shown that not only does visual posts increase persons’ willingness to engage with content but it also helps the audience to remember the content.

A suggestion for optimizing your use of visuals

The trick is to use the best tools or filter that will best illustrate your message for the intended audience, optimized for the platform it is to be used for and in accordance with your goals.

  1. Hi Karlene! I agree with you. I feel that every digital marketer have to be able to create great visual aids. I am going to try to use pablo and Canva and will let you know how it worked for me…I love your blog’s content and layout. Looking forward to get more advice on digital marketing!

  2. I totally agree with you that every Online Marketers should know the basics of designing images. I personally use Canava, which already has premade layout designs (Facebook post size, FB cover, Social Media etc..,) Thanks for sharing.

  3. I totally agree with you! Every digital marketing person should have some sense or basic understanding of how to design images. I specifically learned photoshop for the same purpose just to get an in depth idea and be better at my job.
